Experts from the American news outlet U.S. News and World Report has published a list of diets that can help you get rid of problem areas without harm to your health. Read more about them below.
DASH diet. The acronym stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. The diet involves reducing sodium intake and eating a variety of nutrient-rich foods. This diet normalizes sugar and cholesterol levels, speeds up metabolism and is an excellent stroke prevention. In addition, the DASH diet gives a very quick result: in just 7 days, you can lose up to 5 kg.
The keto diet. It is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet: 70-80% fat and only 5-10% carbohydrates. This is a delicious, and most importantly, a natural way for humans to eat, although until recently women were afraid and avoided fatty foods. But scientists have proven that it is not fats that harm the figure, but carbohydrates (even if they are complex). At the same time, trans fats, oils like sunflower and flaxseed and, of course, sugar remain banned.
Mediterranean diet. It is inherently a balanced, healthy diet. An important plus of this diet is the absence of contraindications, it is not prohibited for people with chronic diseases, pregnant women, lactating women and children. Most of the diet consists of fruits, vegetables, vegetable fats and proteins, and sweets and fatty meats are excluded. The slow but steady process of losing weight goes by itself without feeling hungry.
Intuitive nutrition. A diet entirely “tailored” by your own body. Such nutrition implies the ability to eat anything, including cakes, but you need to rely on the internal signals of your own body about hunger and satiety. The basis of the diet is about the same as in the Mediterranean diet. At the same time, weaknesses in the form of a dessert or a glass of wine are not prohibited, as long as you are sure that they will not harm you.
