HAIR LOSS DURING STRESS

by author / Tuesday, 30 August 2022 / Published in Beauty, Hair

We all know that stress is extremely harmful, and “nerves make hair fall out.” But why does this happen, and most importantly, is it possible to prevent this deplorable result? A specialist in hair and scalp rehabilitation with 14 years of experience, member of the Association of Trichologists, talks about the relationship between stress and hair growth:

“I am always very careful about the health of my clients and I always emphasize that the condition of the hair and its amount on the head is only a symptom. Separately, today I want to focus on the gastrointestinal tract, because it is one of the most important systems, thanks to which other systems and organs in our body function. I have clients come to me who eat absolutely nothing or what they eat does not do their body any good.

Accordingly, the body in general is in deficit and stress. In addition to stress from malnutrition and unbalanced nutrition, we experience stress every day. That’s why I’m so eager to share how important it is to keep your gastrointestinal tract healthy and try to eat right—no matter what.

When a person is under stress, intestinal peristalsis and secretion of the glands that produce serotonin in the digestive tract are disturbed. The brain and the enteric nervous system have many chemicals in common—for example, serotonin. By the way, the main part of it, namely 95%, is produced in the intestinal nervous system. Thus, chronic stress on the digestive system can lead to a constant bad mood. The enteric nervous system is closely related to our mood. The intestine affects it, and it affects the intestine. This is why it is so important to have a healthy gastrointestinal tract. The better the gastrointestinal tract works, the more serotonin is produced.

Where can we replenish our serotonin supply? The hormone itself is produced from the amino acid “tryptophan”, which turkey is rich in. So eat healthy and cheer up. A happy person will always have healthy and beautiful hair – proven.
