San Jose is a very important city for the United States. Although it has long been behind the back of its great neighbor San Francisco, today it has come to the fore in innovative technologies, as well as the development and implementation of new technology projects. Due to the fact that it is located in the famous “Silicon Valley”, back in the mid-90s, there was a noticeable growth in business, followed by population and infrastructure. Today San Jose is a large technology business center. It houses the offices of all major global corporations: Google Inc, Yahoo !, Microsoft, Ebay, IBM and many others.
This city is unlike any other, everything is steeped in technology and commerce. But, nevertheless, there are still unresolved problems with a very high cost of housing and a lack of territory. The landscapes of San Jose are similar to the vastness of the techno city of the future – large glass and concrete houses, construction sites. But, as experience shows, not everything is so smooth. Remember at least the fall of the Internet market in the early 2000s. Then many companies went bankrupt, and people were unemployed. So, although a small town has managed to become a big business center, do not forget that there is not only profit and success, but also the other side of the coin.
Guests of San Jose will have the opportunity to plan a very interesting excursion program, the city has preserved many historical sights, and there are also very interesting museums. The most visited is The Tech Museum of Innovation, the exposition of which is devoted to the latest achievements in science and technology. Its visitors can try out original interactive exhibits in action, conduct interesting experiments, and also attend thematic lectures and seminars. The museum conducts many excursions for both adults and children of different ages.
In the same building as the science museum, there is another important cultural center for the city – the San Jose Museum of Art. This art museum was opened in 1969 and was originally a small art gallery. Today it is one of the largest cultural centers of its kind in the region, which contains the works of famous local sculptors and artists of the last century. The museum often hosts exhibitions and temporary openings dedicated to various areas of contemporary art.
Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum is considered to be one of the most unusual cultural centers of the city. The archaeological museum displays a rich collection of artifacts that were discovered during the exploration of various regions of Egypt. Museum visitors can see artifacts that are several thousand years old. It contains, among other things, valuable finds that were discovered during the study of the famous Egyptian pyramids.
One of the most significant historical symbols of San Jose is the Winchester Mystery House. The huge estate was built in the second half of the 19th century and became famous all over the world thanks to the incredible stories about the ghosts living in it. The building has 160 rooms and 40 staircases. Many incredible stories are associated with the mansion. It was owned by Sarah Winchester, the widow of one of the wealthiest local industrialists.
The choice of entertainment in San Jose is also excellent, the city has beautiful parks for walking, modern sports and entertainment centers, and many more attractive places for evening relaxation. Fans of water sports will be able to visit the Raging Waters water park located in the city. It is indoor, therefore, it is available for visiting all year round. The water park has an interesting bright design; from the inside, it looks like a huge candy. There are swimming pools for adults and children, a large selection of slides and other water attractions. There are suitable recreation areas in the water park for both the smallest visitors and adult fans of extreme sports. Another attractive feature of the center is the variety of restaurants and cafes; the inner space of the water park is decorated with live exotic plants.
Tourists with small children and nature lovers will be interested in visiting the Spina Farms Pumpkin Patch amusement park. It is equipped in the form of a traditional farm and offers fascinating themed excursions and entertainment for visitors to the park. They will be able to learn a lot of interesting things about growing vegetables; in the summer, guests of the park are offered to walk through the pumpkin fields. On the territory of the farm there is a small factory for the production of canned vegetables, which can also be visited as part of the excursion. Most of the entertainment is available to visitors in the warm season; every day special excursions for children are organized here.
The whole family can have a great time at the Rockin ‘Jump Entertainment Center. The main entertainment that it offers to its guests is jumping on trampolines. This center has excellent conditions for active recreation. There are several isolated areas with trampolines, where you can just jump or play ball games, and group gymnastics classes are also held in the center. After rest, visitors can relax in the colorful cafe, which is often used for children’s parties.
