All Club Med ski resorts are located on the very tops of picturesque mountains, and the new Hotel La Rosier is no exception. Located in the south, near Mont Blanc, at an altitude of almost 2000 meters, the resort of La Rosier greets us with silvery-white snow and bright blue skies. There is everything to ride with pleasure and not worry about anything. The new family resort in the San Bernardo ski area combines the ski slopes of France and Italy.
La Rosière is located on a picturesque plateau with stunning views of the entire Taranto Valley. What I saw exceeded all my expectations! It is difficult to imagine a more beautiful place. It seems that you have entered the kingdom of the Snow Queen.
It’s a pity to spend time sleeping, I want to enjoy the view from the panoramic windows of the hotel room. The hotel staff made sure that you have everything for a comfortable stay. The room is so cozy that you dream of staying here all day and enjoy watching romantic comedies from cute selections prepared in advance for guests. You have to constantly remind yourself of the purpose of your stay.
Club Med La Rosière is a great place to explore winter sports: there are many trails for beginners and professionals. All lifts are located next to the hotel. Leaving the ski room, you immediately get to the ski slopes. The first route is for beginners, next to another – for children. It is here that kids learn to stand confidently on skis from the age of four.
Honestly, I was afraid to ride and was almost certain that I would not succeed. It could have happened, but not with Club Med instructors! Before I arrived, I applied for equipment and skis, but when I arrived, I was tempted by the beauty and drive of the board, and I was easily replaced. I filled out the questionnaire, indicated the size of the shoes and the level of training and – oh my! – coming to the ski room, in her personal locker she found everything she needed for training: new boots for the board, the board itself and a helmet. After the first day – yes, from the first minutes – I realized that the instructors of Club Med and the dead will teach to ride! So at the end of the holiday I already felt like a snowboarder with many years of experience.
Experienced skiers will enjoy the 2,800-meter descents and off-piste routes. I sincerely envied them, because going down these incredible trails, you will not only feel the rush of adrenaline, but also get to admire the beauty of the winter Alps (routes run along snow-covered spruces and snow-capped mountains). And considering that the ski pass in Club Med is included in the cost of living, what else can a skier dream of?
In short, I got incredible pleasure from the attention and skill level of the instructors, and from the incredible nature around. Whole families come here with small children. While kids have fun and study in the children’s club (for children from two years old), and older children learn to ski, adults have time to enjoy spa treatments.
If in the afternoon you just do not have the strength to ride, you can relax in the hotel – there is something to do.
After skiing or boarding, it’s so nice to swim in the warm pool, which offers an incredible view of the snow-capped mountains. And then you can relieve fatigue in yoga classes: they are designed so that after intense skiing you can relax your body and mind, meditating on the peaks covered with snow.
Everything is pleasant here! And the comfort of the interior, and attentive staff, which seems to be not the staff, but your friends. With G.O. you can sit by the fireplace, talk, learn a lot, philosophize about how generous and beautiful the local nature is and how important it is to preserve it. By the way, one of the principles of Club Med is respect for local culture, traditions and nature!
The all-inclusive system really allows you to completely relax and not worry about anything. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are designed to make your ride comfortable. Departure for the morning trails at 9 am, and at 11.30 am, when you, already exhausted and satisfied, go down, you will be met with mulled wine and snacks and taken to a restaurant overlooking the mountains where you just skated. What a pleasure it is to drink mulled wine in the fresh frost and go to lunch! The gastronomic concept of the resort is natural and local cuisine. Guests of La Rosier are treated to unsurpassed dishes of not only French but also Italian cuisine, due to the fact that the resort is located on the border with Italy. So a variety of seafood, pasta and pizza, French desserts and cheeses await you.
